About

This site is the result of many years of biblical studies.

Having mastered evangelical theology and having debated with many Jews and Christians, years ago I realised that traditional Christian theological ideas had huge difficulties. They simply did not harmonise with the ideas presented in the TaNaKH (the term created from the Hebrew names of the “Law”, “Prophets” and “Writings” — incorrectly called “Old Testament”).

We have heard many times the saying concerning the Old and New Testaments that “In the Old the New is revealed, in the New the Old is explained”. This means it is impossible to understand the Tanakh correctly without first learning the NT, for the NT explains the Tanakh. Well, my view is that those who came up with this idea got it all wrong.

The very first disciples of Jesus had only the Tanakh to work from as scriptures. There was no NT for a long time, and the first writings didn’t appear for over a decade after the death and resurrection of Jesus. Thus, the early Christians worked from the Tanakh, nothing else. It was what they referred to as Scriptures. All terms used in the NT were already defined in it, and I see no attempt to redefine them in the NT. Therefore, if anything contradicts the Tanakh, we need to be suspicious that it is the result of theological corruption.

Traditional Christianity teaches that the Law had been abolished on the cross of Christ, thus, the new covenant is — sort of — without any laws or only have a very few laws. However, when we consider Jeremiah’s prophecy concerning the new covenant, we find something else:

Jeremiah 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant which they broke, though I was their husband, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each man teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD’, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

On this site I present you a new approach to biblical interpretation. I take that the NT is actually the fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecy — while most Christian theologies contradict it -, and show you what this means for those who claim to be the followers of Jesus the Christ.
